
Spring break may be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun. Keep the spring break vibe alive by going to one of these family-friendly events this weekend.
Movies in the Village: Wreck-it-Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet
On March 15 from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m., the city of Colleyville will be hosting Movies in the Village in the green space near City Hall, showing Wreck-it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet. This event is free and free popcorn and lemonade will be available to attendees. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to get a good spot on the field and to bring blankets and chairs.
Learn about other cultures while having fun at this year's Holi Festival in Grapevine on March 16 from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. Hosted by the DFW Chapter of America Madheshi Samaaj, this event is sure to be lots of fun with a variety of music, dances and food available for attendees. Tickets range from $10 to $25.
St. Patty’s Rainbow Cupcakes Workshop
Celebrate St. Patrick's day with your child by attending a rainbow cupcakes workshop at Taste Buds Kitchen Southlake. This event, taking place on March 16 from 9 to 10 a.m., will teach children everything they need to know about making rainbow cupcakes. Tickets are $28 for one child and caregiver and this workshop is open to children ages 2 to 8.
Special Needs Screening: Captain Marvel
If you have a child with special needs, that doesn't mean you can't celebrate Marvel's newest hero to hit the big screen. Studio Movie Grill in Dallas is hosting a special needs screening of Captain Marvel on March 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can expect the lighting to be on, the volume to be lowered and children are free to walk, talk or even dance in the theater aisles during the movie. Tickets for this event can be purchased at the box office.
On March 16 from 3 to 4 p.m., Small World Big Imagination - Southlake will be hosting a touch and learn petting zoo. This event will teach children about kangaroos and other animals and afterward, children are invited to enjoy open play. This event is $20 per child and people can register by calling or stopping by Small World Big Imagination.
