Movies at the Marq: "Christopher Robin"
If you want to kick the weekend off with something fun, head out to the Aria Amphitheater in Southlake on Friday from 8 to 10:30 p.m. for an outdoor showing of "Christopher Robin." This free movie is part of Southlake’s Movies at the Marq series and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers. There will also be movie-themed snacks and activities for attendees to enjoy. Alcohol and glass are not permitted.
Head out to The Keller Pointe on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for their Sensory Swim event. As part of their Sense of Adventure series, the Keller Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a supervised swim for children with special needs. Tickets are $2, and the event is limited to 110 attendees, with siblings of special needs children more than welcome to attend. And as part of the event, everyone will get one free snow cone from Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream.
There’s not a lot better than starting off your Saturday making donuts so head over to Taste Buds Kitchen Southlake for their galaxy donuts workshop. In this workshop, which is designed for parents and kids to cook together, attendees will learn how to make donuts and the galaxy glaze that goes with them. This workshop is designed for kids ages 2 to 8, and tickets are $28 per child/caregiver.
