Incredible Handmade
With the rainy weather of this week lightening up this weekend, it’s a perfect time to head out and do something fun with the family. And there are lots of options happening around town, so there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!
There’s never a bad time to have pizza, so head out to Taste Buds Kitchen Southlake on Friday, May 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. for their pizza perfection workshop. Kids will have an opportunity to make pizza from scratch, starting with making the dough, before moving on to topping their pizzas. This workshop is open to kids between 2 and 8 years old, and tickets are $28 per child and caregiver.
There’s nothing better than attending a birthday party full of pups, so head out to Earthwise Pet Supply with your dogs to do just that. They will be hosting Lexi’s Birthday Party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and this event will include plenty of things to do as there will be bounce houses, pet adoptions, free food and dog treats and a photo booth among much more.
May the 4th Be With You Family Celebration
If you're a Star Wars fan, you know this Saturday is not just a regular Saturday. It's Star Wars Day! To celebrate, Journey Church in Colleyville is hosting a May the 4th Be With You Family Celebration. This free event, taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will give away lightsabers and a Star Wars comic book to the first 50 kids. There will also be face painting, a sensory friendly space and plenty of games and activities for the family to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the pizza workshop, don’t worry! On Saturday, Taste Buds Kitchen will be hosting another workshop for kids ages 2 to 8, this time learning to make empanadas. It will happen on Saturday, May 4, from 9 to 10 a.m. and kids will learn everything they need to know about empanadas and have a chance to create their own empanada shape. Tickets are $28 per child and caregiver.
