Fashion statements come and go — they just cost a lot more when you are looking to spruce up your home instead of your wardrobe. Just ask Driftwood Capital, the hotel ownership group of Southlake Hilton, who unveiled a monthslong renovation project late last year. Originally built in 2007, it was time for an update of the award-winning 248-room property. By incorporating a new contemporary style with a residential feel, Southlake's first hotel gives travelers a sense of home on the road. A new, stylish sense of home that can be yours with touches like these.
The Bright Time
If you’ve been feeling the grays for quite a while, it's probably time. If your home still has a Tuscan palette and dark woods in play, then it is definitely time. Time for a lighter shade of wall color, that is. The Hilton said goodbye to its darker days by painting over the paneled walls and columns in the lobby with a lighter shade of cream. The entire space appears bigger, brighter and better for it.
Pops Of Color
After instilling a proper foundation in the lobby, the remodeling team opted for pops of vibrant colors to add visual excitement to the space. Colorful abstract art and a bold red couch invites the eye to gaze, while the latter's plush fabric and corresponding pillows invite weary souls to take a seat. Tufted blush-colored swivel chairs provide a wonderful conversation area that comes together thanks to the complementary tones of a whimsically-colored ornate area rug.
The Golden Touch
Accessories matter, and the Hilton team kept an eye out for detail. Gold-toned end tables, coffee tables and fixtures are found throughout and add a sense of luxury as styles have moved away from brushed nickels. Even the hotel’s guest rooms have brought in the gold colors most notably above the tufted fabric headboards.
