On February 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Florence Elementary School, the city of Southlake will be hosting a “Newcomer’s Guide to Gardening” event where attendees can learn everything there is to know about gardening and landscaping.
In partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife and Tarrant Regional Water District, experts Daniel Cunningham and Patrick Dickinson will teach attendees things like the best plants for North Texas, landscape maintenance, picking the best fruit and vegetable plants and basic landscape design principles.
With spring coming up, this event is a good way to prepare for the new season, especially if you want to start a garden or work on landscaping at your home. No prior knowledge is required to attend this event as the experts will teach you everything you need to know.
Tickets for this event are $5 and attendees will receive a free water conservation toolkit, a handbook and other educational materials to help them work on their garden or landscape. You can register here.
