The Main Event in Grapevine is teaming up with the Dallas-based Birthday Party Project to bring an epic birthday party to more than 300 homeless or transitional home children across the Metroplex this weekend.
Founded in 2012 with the belief that every child should be able to celebrate their birthday, the Birthday Party Project has hosted about 8,500 birthdays with 50,000 kids in attendance, according to its website. Main Event has also simultaneously been named as one of the best places in the country to celebrate birthdays according to a press release, celebrating more than 50,000 birthdays each year across the country.
This weekend’s celebration marks the kickoff of a nationwide partnership where they will work together to bring birthdays to over 2.5 million children currently experiencing homelessness.
More than 300 children from surrounding Birthday Party Project agency partners will meet up at Main Event in Grapevine on Saturday and enjoy two hours of unlimited video games, bowling, laser tag, virtual reality games, billiards, gravity ropes and more. The children will also receive a VIP birthday badge, a Nothing Bundt Cakes bundtlet and a chance to redeem points for over 500 cool prizes and toys at the Main Event winner’s choice area.
If you would like to join in on the birthday fun, come to Main Event at 407 W. State Hwy. 114 from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday and celebrate these kids’ birthdays with them. To learn more about the Birthday Party Project, call them at 972.290.0908 or visit TheBirthdayPartyProject.org.
