It’s almost Halloween, so you know what that means – it’s time to break out the costumes, candy bags and the Tums for when your children inevitably eat too much chocolate. But some of you can’t wait for Halloween on October 31.
Not to worry. Whether its fall festivals or trunk and treat events, there’s plenty to take your family to this weekend that will get you your early Halloween fix.
Little Sunshine’s Fall Festival
Are you ready to gear up for a fun fall festival where the whole family can participate? Come to Little Sunshine’s Fall Festival from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday at 600 Zena Rucker Rd. and have fun with the playhouse and preschool family! You can play games, jump around in a bounce house, decorate your own pumpkin and so much more.
The Goddard School is hosting a spooktacular evening full of trunk-or-treating for one night only at their campus on 435 W. Southlake Blvd. Put on your costume, play fun games and enjoy this family-friendly alternative to trick-or-treating anytime between 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday. The event will also feature food and barbecue beside the usual sweet-toothed candy selections.
ATA Martial Arts Halloween Party
ATA Martial Arts is hosting an exciting Halloween party that will get you dancing and grooving all night long. The party is going on from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at 4709 Colleyville Blvd. and will feature live entertainment, a potluck and plenty of fun Halloween-themed games. Dress up and try to win one of their five costume contests, including overall best and most original.
“Sweet” is in Sweet and Sassy Southlake’s name. It only makes sense that they would have a blow-out Halloween bash. From 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sweet and Sassy will hold a fun-filled Halloween celebration where your kids can dress up, sing, dance and make arts and crafts. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.
Trunk-or-treating may not be scary, but it sure is a lot of fun. First United Methodist Church in Grapevine is hosting a Not-So-Scary trunk or treat event from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday at 422 Church St. Not only will this event have all of the candy and games to fulfill your heart’s desire but also there will also be a petting zoo filled with cute and friendly animals.
Halloween Bash At The Bootanical Gardens
The Grapevine Botanical Gardens may be a beautiful and luscious place, but this weekend it’s specifically “booed” up for Halloween. Come to the Botanical Gardens anytime between 6 and 10 p.m. on Saturday and participate in a Halloween bash extravaganza for all ages. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Activities include laser tag, 3D archery and trampolines.
Keller United Methodist Church Trunk or Treat
What’s better than a fantastic trunk or treat event? How about one that benefits the community? Keller United Methodist Church is hosting their trunk or treat event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at 1025 Johnson Rd. Not only will it have plenty of food, candy and arts and crafts but also they’re collecting soup cans for the Resource Center Food Pantry. Now that’s a nice Halloween treat!
Grapevine Church of Christ Fall Festival
The Grapevine Church of Christ is putting on a fun fall festival this Sunday at 525 N. Park Blvd. From 5 to 6:30 p.m. you’ll get the chance to eat delicious food, jump in buoyant bounce houses, dress up in fun costumes and much more. Come on out and have fun before you go trick-n-treating Thursday!
Rows of cars and trucks will fill the parking lot of Center Point Church for trunk and treat this weekend. From 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at 7804 Mid Cities Blvd. in North Richland Hills, you can stop from trunk to trunk as you pick up your favorite candies one-by-one. Activity stations will also be open to help break up the trunk and treating fun.
