Charlie may be charming, but the one thing it won’t be for much longer is open. That’s because all of its stores will be closed by the time August 31 rolls around, including the store located in Southlake Town Square.
The closure is a result of the company filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month, announcing that it will close its remaining 261 stores in 38 states and go out of business, according to “Bloomberg News.” While it was in operation, Charming Charlie carried thousands of women’s jewelry, fashion accessories and clothing, all arranged by color.
Although the retailer will fully vacate all of its stores by August 31 per a court filing, the Southlake Town Square location will be closing by August 10, according to a notice posted by the store. Customers have until then to purchase everything on clearance sale or return any items purchased before July 12. All items in the store are on sale for 20-50 percent off and are non-refundable until closing.
The store is located at 301 N. Carroll Ave. and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 12-6 p.m. Last-minute buyers can contact the store at 817.442.1309.
