With events happening this weekend and next, there is plenty of time to get your Easter fix in before it’s over. With events catered to special needs kids to underwater egg hunts, there’s an Easter event for everyone to enjoy.
Spring Splashtacular Underwater Egg Hunt
If you don’t want to miss out on Easter events this Saturday because of the weather, Southlake’s Spring Splashtacular Underwater Egg Hunt ensures Easter fun will be had despite the rain. Taking place at the Champions Club at the Marq, this event will have separate underwater egg hunts for kids 15 and under. The cost of this event is free for Champions Club members and only $5 for non-members. Pre-registration is required for all attendees.
If your child has special needs, they won’t miss out on any Easter fun with this with Southlake’s Miracle Eggstravaganza. This event will take on Sunday, April 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Texas Rangers Miracle League Field in Bicentennial Park. The Miracle Eggstravaganza will have activities specifically designed for special needs children and their families. From balloon artists and egg hunt to photos with the Easter bunny and sweets for the kids, there is something for everyone.
Dallas Arboretum Easter Weekend Activities
From April 19 to 21, the Dallas Arboretum will be hosting a wide range of Easter activities for children like face-painting, photos, a petting zoo, games and much more. And on Saturday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jonsson Color Garden, the Arboretum will also attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Bunny Hop led by the Easter Bunny rain or shine.
Flower Mound will also be hosting an underwater Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Community Activity Center’s indoor pool. This event, with required pre-registration, costs $5 for members and $6 for non-members. After the egg hunt, the day will feature other Easter activities for attendees to enjoy. Parents will need to be in the water with all non-swimmers.
If you want an oversized, over-the-top way to enjoy Easter, head over to Fort Worth for their Texas-sized Easter Egg Hunt. This egg hunt, starting at 12 p.m. at the lawns of the historical Livestock Exchange Building at the Fort Worth Stockyards, is open to children ages 0-12 and will have thousands of eggs for children to get. Other activities for kids include pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, live music and Old West gunfight shows.
Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday, April 20 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Double Oak Volunteer Fire Station, the Double Oaks Women’s Club is hosting a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt. The breakfast specifically will include pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee for attendees. This event costs $3 for children and $5 for adults, with the egg hunt starting at 10:30 a.m. and attendees will need to bring their own bag or basket.
