Every year, people line up for hours to get a photo of their kids with Santa. If you want to grab a picture with the whole family or just want to skip the lines, we've got you covered. Here are six photo-op locations that you won't have to stand in line for.
Southlake Town Square's Santa Village
Before flashing back to hours spent in lines at Southlake Town Square, know this year will be different. Starting in 2018, locals can reserve a no-wait, private visit with Santa at Santa's Village from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. on December 3,4,5 and 6. Space is limited, so be sure to book your spot soon. Even if you don't have an appointment, you can always grab a photo of your family next to the area's gigantic tree or the lit up Town Hall.
Hilton Anatole Peppermint Park
The Dallas hotel is reopening their Christmas at Anatole featuring Peppermint Park on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for families looking for some festive fun. The lot will be full of red and white lights that will transport kids to the North Pole. Whether you stop by the holiday train, the Wonka Hot Cocoa station, Mrs. Claus Cookie Decorating Station or the Animals of the Nativity Petting Zoo, each stop is sure to be a magical photo opportunity.
The seasonal attraction is always popular, but its icy grounds provide lots of photo backdrops. The 14,000-square-foot exhibit includes beautiful sculptors, one-and-a-half million twinkling lights and a 52-foot-tall Christmas tree, so you are sure to find a spot to gather up the loved ones and snap a photo. This year, there will be lots of figures from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeers sprinkled throughout the interior, so it is a great chance to introduce your kids to these classic characters.
Grapevine's Larger-Than-Life Christmas Ornament
If you are looking for a festive setting that can be a quick in-and-out stop, then a trip over to the larger-than-life Christmas Ornament at Mi Dia is a must. The 16x13 massive gold ball looks luxurious both throughout the day and when it comes to life at night with its matching lights. There is a park bench within the ornament, so you can load up all the kids and take a picture of them inside a definitive holiday accessory.
For more lights than you can count, take a quick drive over to Addison's Vitruvian Park. The area's trees are completely covered with colorful blubs that make the entire park look magical. You can either do a lap around the trail with the kids on a nice night while snacking on a sweet treat, or pose for a picture with the whole family with the glowing trees in the background.
Globe Life Park's Enchant Christmas
For lights, outdoor ice skating and a whole lot of entertainment, head over to Globe Life Park for this year's Enchant Christmas. You can always stand in line to grab a photo with Santa, or you can walk through the lit maze with the family and take some photos along the way. Either way, the whole family is sure to walk away with a great holiday memory and a few photos to remember the day by.
