
If you don’t have any summer vacation plans, don’t feel bad about it because Wallethub just named the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex the 5th Best Summer Travel Destination for 2019 with a score of 64.95.
In determining their ranking, Wallethub compared 100 metro areas across different areas such as weather, travel costs, attractions, activities and safety.
Orlando, Florida came in at number one with a total score of 69.04 while the Austin metro area, the DC metro area and the Chicago metro area came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
Other Texas cities that made the list were the San Antonio metro area which ranked 12, the El Paso metro area which ranked at 18 and the Houston metro area which came in at 19.
