If anyone knows how much impact a doctor can have on someone's life, it’s Dr. Mark Mason. Before he became a successful surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Mason grew up in West Texas as a bull riding state champion who went to college on a scholarship. But after he broke his jaw during a bull riding competition, a surgeon's impressive skills and compassion helped him toward recovery and compelled him to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Mason completed his plastic surgery residency at Stanford University Medical Center and moved back to Texas to open Southlake Plastic Surgery & Med Spa.

Dr. Mason is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and excels in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, from facelifts to mommy makeovers as evidenced by the thousands of patients he’s treated in his 23 years of practice. Recently joining Dr. Mason as his partner is Dr. Matthew Novak, who offers a full range of cosmetic procedures. Dr. Novak earned his Bachelor of Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University, where he was also named an NCAA scholar athlete in cross-country and track. Dr. Novak went on to earn his medical degree from the renowned University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, which included a research appointment at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center.

After finishing his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Novak went on to complete an elective, one-year fellowship in aesthetic surgery at the highly sought-after Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. This additional year of training was spent focusing on all aspects of cosmetic surgical and nonsurgical aesthetics of the face, nose, breast and body.
