Get ready for all of the pumpkins, candy and trick-or-treating, because these are the events you'll want to pencil into your calendar this month.
October 1-31 | Howell Farms
Glowing eyes flicker behind pumpkin faces on the chilly October night. Candlelit paths filled with over 3,000 hand-carved pumpkins guide you through a maze in the dark. Fiery batons are tossed in the air, families challenge each other to outdoor games and everyone stops to take a selfie (or 10). Pumpkin Nights is back at Howell Farms, and it’s one amazing Halloween tradition you’ll want to be a part of! If you like all things spooky with none of the gore, scare or horror, then Pumpkin Nights is just for you. It’s a perfectly curated fall wonderland, designed for all ages to enjoy.
October 9 | Texas Motor Speedway
Bubbles make everything better. Bubbly drinks, bubble baths, bubble parties — they’re great for everyone, no matter your age! That’s why the Bubble Run, billed as a “Good Clean Run,” is one of the most anticipated 5K events for families. It’s an easy walk or run, starting and ending with giant foam cannons spraying gigantic bubbles, a DJ playing fun music and four colorful bubble surprises throughout the race. The after-party includes even more music, bubbles and delicious food to help you refuel. Not to burst your bubble, but you’ll be super disappointed if you miss this one!
October 16 | Panther Island Pavilion
Enchanting lanterns glow softly in the night sky. Thousands of paper lanterns float lazily through the water as people gather around to make wishes, dance in the light around the flickering flames and read the sweet messages printed on the side. It’s like a moment from a movie scene, so captivating and surreal, and it’s happening right here at the Water Lantern Festival! Your ticket includes a floating lantern kit that you can decorate, a commemorative drawstring bag and the cleanup fee.
October 17 | American Airlines Center

Despite releasing his first mixtape back in 2007, Machine Gun Kelly has recently exploded in popularity. In 2020, his fifth punk-rock album, “Tickets To My Downfall,” was one of the only rock albums to top the Billboard 200 in the entire year, and this year’s highly anticipated “Born With Horns” (also produced by Blink-182’s Travis Barker) is expected to be just as popular. The artist also won two Billboard Music Awards in 2021 for Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Album, as well as an iHeartRadio Award for Alternative Rock Album of the Year. Catch him live this month, playing hits like “Papercuts,” “Love Race” and “Bloody Valentine.”
November 5 | American Airlines Center
