FÜDTRUKY is set to be a jam-packed day of fun, but it will also help support a good cause: GRACE’s Feed Our Kids. Fifty percent of the day’s admission, as well as a portion of concession sales, will benefit Feed Our Kids.
GRACE started this program in 2005 with a mission to provide lunches for low-income children who otherwise would go hungry during summer months because free school meals are not available. Their volunteers serve more than 25,000 meals during the 11-week program, which makes a huge impact on the local community.
Southlake Style hopes to raise $15,000 on May 11 for the cause, which his enough to provide more than 5,000 nutritious lunches to area children. During the year’s first event, FÜDTRUKY raised $10,000 for Feed Our Kids.
The Southlake Style team also volunteered to serve lunches during Feed Our Kids last July, and we personally were able to see the difference GRACE’s program made on the local community.
