Look to the skies onbrSaturday at Bob Jones Nature Center: Hundreds of winged wonders will soar atbrthe third-annual Monarch Butterfly Festival. All are invited to the free eventbrthat kicks off at 9 a.m. and includes festival activities such as a wildflowerbrseed-bomb toss, butterfly costume parade, photo booth, butterfly crafts, facebrpainting and the big event: a monarch butterfly release led by the PerennialbrGarden Society of Southlake.
The festival grew frombrapproximately 50 attendees to 500 from 2015 to 2016, and BJNC expects evenbrlarger crowds this year. Plan to arrive early for the fanfare and then watch inbrwonder as 500 tagged butterflies are released at 10 a.m.
