Checks totaling $190,000brhave been mailed to 26 beneficiaries of the 2015 Art in the Square. The Southlake Women's Club reports that the event raised proceeds equalbrto the amount raised in 2014. That’s not a bad thing, considering the stormsbrthat rolled in on Friday and Sunday afternoon during Art in the Square.
This year's event drewbrmore than 150 sponsors and over 800 adult and student volunteers who logged morebrthan 4,800 hours of volunteer time.

Since 2000, the SouthlakebrWomen's Club, through Art in the Square has raised over $2.5 million for localbrcharities and nonprofits. The deadline for 2016 Art in the Square funding isbrJanuary 15, 2016. Applications will be online in November.
