Whether you come out for the opening day or make several stops in over the weekend, everyone's sure to have a great time.
Southlake Carroll vs. Odessa Permian
After a successful home opener last Friday, the Dragons are ready to do it all over again this weekend as they take on the Odessa Permian Panthers. So come be a part of the Friday Night Lights and help turn Dragon Stadium green on September 14. Here's hoping the rain stays away for their second home game.
The Ultimate Willy Wonka Party
Get in your sweets with your sweets by heading out to Denton's Alamo Drafthouse on Friday to stop by The Ultimate Willy Wonka Party. The dine-in movie theater will host a special showing of the 1971 “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Movie lovers will love introducing this classic tale to their children, and patrons can stick around after the credits roll for a special Q&A with two of the movie's actors, Mike TeaVee and Veruca Salt. It's set up to be a delicious evening out.
Hello Kitty Café in Southlake Town Square
Do your little ones love cartoons? Treat them to a day out with a classic character by stopping by Rustin Pavilion on Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Hello Kitty Café Truck will be in Southlake Town Square. Locals can enjoy some themed treats and cute merchandise while supplies last. One thing is for sure: Southlake will be a bit pinker this weekend.
Inspire your kids to explore their creative side by heading out to the Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio. The Fort Worth art museum offers this free program for children ages 12 and under and their adult companions regularly, and this time around, they will be focusing on tapping into kids' five senses. The session will include a gallery activity and studio-art project. Space is limited, and sign-up starts an hour before the class begins, so be sure to get there early to reserve your kids' spots.
