Forest Park Medical Center Southlake was named the seventh most beautiful hospital in the United States according to a list put out by Soliant Health for 2015. Soliant Health, one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the country, holds an annual contest to rank the 20 most beautiful hospitals in the country based on the architecture and landscape, as well as unique features and photogenic qualities.
The results come from a record-breaking 388,505 votes (more than one and a half times the votes from last year). This is the seventh year Soliant has put together this list. Texas had four hospitals on the list (three of which were Forest Park locations), including: Forest Park in San Antonio (3), Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco (11), and Forest Park in Fort Worth (14).
To earn seventh place, Southlake received 10,267 votes.
"From its calming color scheme to the green views from all patient rooms to the water feature in the lobby and the special scent pumped through the HVAC system, every corner of Forest Park Southlake has been designed to reduce stress and promote healing," the list says.
The Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Ga., won first place this year. That facility opened in 2011 after the original facility was destroyed by tornado in 2007.
