Kids—at any age—often feel invincible when it comes to sports or any type of recreational play. But as parents, we know that isn't the case. However, trying to get honest answers out of our children as to what aches and pains they might have is a task in itself!
Given the right circumstances, meaning listening to someone other than mom and dad, perhaps your kids might open up and ask some important questions about their physical health.
SPARK will be hosting a free community event for teens and adults at 7:30 p.m. on March 30 at the Carroll High School Lecture Room (back of the school) located at 800 N. White Chapel Rd. Additionally sponsored by Carroll ISD and the City of Southlake, the event will have experts on hand to discuss signs that something might be wrong.
The expert panel includes Orthopedic Surgeon Michael L. Nguyen, M.D., who is Fellowship Trained in Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic Surgery of the shoulder knee and hip, and Rob Sandmann, LAT, ATC —both of Texas Orthopedic Specialists, as well as Dr. Ryan Price of Premier Chiropractic.
Cheering on our favorite runner or basketball player is exciting for parents! Attending this free event can help make those experiences even more enjoyable. For more information on this event visit SparkNow.org.
