After a stellar finish at regionals in May, six Southlake rowers representing the Founder’s Rowing Club dominated at the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota, Florida on June 9-12.
Seniors Ashley Hall and Camille Egger and juniors Maile Nelson and Sophia Rhodes finished in first place in the Women's Youth 4x Final B, leaving them ranked No. 7 in the U.S. Meanwhile, sophomores Samantha Rietbroek and Olivia Knight finished in third place in the Women’s U17 2x Final B, leaving them ranked No. 9 in the U.S.
This caps off a season that saw the athletes earn gold at state and show out at regionals.
