The Young Men’s Service League celebrated its class of 2024 during its recent service awards.
Back in April, the mother-son organization honored the most significant achievements for its graduating members. The Senior Leadership Award was given to 11 seniors with over 115 service hours, while nine mother-son pairs received the Platinum Service Award for contributing over 50 volunteer hours together. Those who served over 40 hours were recognized with the Superior Service Award, which was given to 19 young members.
Additionally, junior Alex Carlton was recognized with the Heart of Service Award for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to YMSL’s mission to support those in need within the community. Finally, senior Jack Gerrity was bestowed with the highly-coveted Donna Lackey “Spirit of Service” award, which is given to the senior with the most cumulative hours. Serving 248.5 hours over four years, Jack also received the Most Hours Served Award with his mother for working a total of 198.5 combined hours.
