The Southlake Carroll Dragons have a new inflatable to lead them onto the field.
Generously donated by the newly-established Dragon Touchdown Club (DTC), this new inflatable dragon takes over after a strong 12-year run from the former Dragon helmet. Comprised of a head and tail, the two sections combine to a staggering 54 feet long and 23 feet tall — twice the size of its predecessor. And with flashing LED eyes and smoke-emitting nostrils, players will be running out of these jaws of victory for years to come.
“This is something that has been needed for years,” says Bill Webb, DTC president and CABC Treasurer. “We are very happy to be able to design and fund this new inflatable and donate it to Carroll Athletic Booster Club to carry on this Dragon tradition.”
The dragon inflatable made its debut during the community pep rally over the weekend. You can check it out during the Dragons' first home game of the season against El Paso Eastwood on Aug. 26 at Dragon Stadium.
