In the final week of the regular season, the Lady Dragons scored 42 runs.
The roller coaster of a season was unexpected, given that seven seniors returned from the 2013 playoff squad. The offense features five batters hitting .400 or better, including Lauren Heintzelman who is hitting .494 with four home runs going into the postseason.
Back in November, three members of the Carroll softball team participated in National Signing Day to play in college.
Heintzelman signed with the University of Virginia. Senior Alex Schneider signed with Texas Tech. And sophomore Alexa Wimberly signed with Arkansas Tech.
