Mesero’s Moment
The Tex-Mex Restaurant Is Coming To Southlake.
The Shops of Southlake is expanding its offerings with the opening of a brand-new Tex-Mex restaurant. With six other locations throughout the Metroplex, Mesero will be opening its seventh restaurant in the heart of Southlake.
“Southlake has always been on our wish list of locations,” says Trey Dyer, the president and CEO of Mesero Restaurant Group, LLC. “We were waiting for a location which would be an iconic addition to our brand and a place that Southlake and the surrounding neighborhoods would enjoy.”
With both traditional Tex-Mex recipes and familiar American dishes, Mesero’s diverse menu has something that can cater to everyone’s palates.
“[Guests can] expect first-class service in an amazing atmosphere with a menu that includes Tex-Mex favorites, authentic Mexican dishes, American dishes and everything in between including salads [and] other lighter fare,” Trey says.
Brunch kicks off service with mimosas and bloody marys in hand. You won’t go wrong with its breakfast tacos, made with flour or corn tortillas, scrambled eggs, cheddar, chives, tomatoes, jalapenos, a choice between chorizo, brisket or bacon and served with Mesero papitas and black beans. If you have a sweet tooth, the churro pancakes featuring cinnamon, sugar and whipped crema fresca or the challah bread French toast which delights with every bite.
The flavors keep on coming during lunch and dinner, especially if you start with a cocktail. The Meserita comes prepared with Herradura Silver, Cointreau and citrus while the Catalina showcases St. Germain, Grey Goose, citrus and muddled raspberry. Even wine aficionados can find their new favorite sip from over 20 varieties of red and white wine on hand.
With an eclectic assortment of appetizers, start your food journey off with shrimp ceviche, which features tiger shrimp marinated with citrus, jalapeno pepper, heirloom grape tomato, green onion, avocado and cilantro. The loaded jalapenos, which are bacon-wrapped with chipotle chicken, queso mesero and creme Mexicana, also provide a delicious bite. Meanwhile, main entrees provide even more bold flavors, whether it’s the verdes chicken enchiladas or the double meat rose burger. Plus with delicious dessert options in its carrot cake, cinco leches and choco flan, you can end every meal on a sweet note.
