Southlake City Council proclaimed April 16 to be Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Day in recognition of the hospital'sbrrecent award as the top medium-sized organization in the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in Texas awardsbrprogram. Created in 2006, the program is a joint project of TexasbrMonthly, Texas Association of Business, Texas State Councilbrof the Society for Human Resource Management and Best CompaniesbrGroup.
The statewide survey and awards program identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Texas and how they benefit the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The program has named TexasbrHealth Southlake to its top 10 list multiple times, but this is the first timebrthe hospital has won the top spot.
