ABC-Pediatrics Sensory Room
The therapeutic space of the ABC-Pediatrics Sensory Room is designed to promote sensory modulation. It offers opportunities for self-discovery and meaningful therapeutic activities. The use of the Sensory Rooms is being linked to treatment plans for patients with safety and self-regulation issues. Effective utilization of these rooms can provide a bridge linking skills learned, improve the development of thought, and social skills. Multi-Sensory Environments offer the opportunity to enjoy and control a variety of sensory experiences.Time spent in a Multi-Sensory Environment has been shown to increase concentration, focus attention, improve alertness, awaken memories and improve mobilization. Improvements have also been seen in areas of creativity, social relations and communications and general awareness of surroundings.
