About Dr. Rothbart of Spine Team Texas
Dr. Rothbart graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. His neurosurgery residency training was completed at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. As a research fellow at Yale, Dr. Rothbart studied angiogenesis and brain edema. Additionally, Dr. Rothbart was an instructor in neuroanatomy at Yale University School of Medicine. He attended Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, as a neurovascular and skull base fellow. He spent several years practicing in Chicago at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery & Neuroresearch and was appointed as an Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery at Rush Medical College.
Since transplanting to Texas in 2002, Dr. Rothbart served as the former Medical Director of Neurosurgery at two, large North Texas hospitals. Currently, Dr. Rothbart is the founder and Medical Director of Spine Team Texas, a premier regional spine center for comprehensive back and neck pain treatment, headquartered in Southlake, Texas. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake.
As an experienced neurosurgeon, Dr. Rothbart specializes in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques for spine surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Rothbart has contributed his expert spine advice in nationally recognized consumer magazine publications such as Ms. Fitness, Ladies Home Journal, Prevention Magazine, and Family Circle. He can also be seen routinely as a guest on WFAA, channel 8's, Good Morning Texas in Dallas, Texas, as a spine expert offering the latest advances in back and neck pain treatment. Dr. Rothbart is recognized by peer physicians and patients alike as a leader in spine care. A few of his accolades include receiving the honor of “Top Doc” in Neurosurgery as nominated by peer physicians in the specialty of neurosurgery by Fort Worth, Texas magazine, U.S. News & World Report, and the “Healthcare Hero—Physician Award” as nominated by his patients in the Dallas Business Journal. In 2013, Spine Team Texas was selected by Becker's Spine Review as “104 Spine Surgery Practices to Know” and awarded Dr. Rothbart as a recipient of the 2013 “Spine Leadership Award”.
