Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake (TexasbrHealth Southlake) was recently awarded the top score for patient satisfactionbrin a national rating of more than 3,500 hospitals.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services use thebrHCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems)brsurvey to ask patients about their experiences during a recent hospital stay.brTexas Health Southlake is one of 336 hospitals in the nation and one of fivebrTexas Health Resource hospitals that received five stars.

The survey asks patients about 11 hospital quality topicsbrsuch as whether or not medications were explained adequately and whether or notbrthey were given information about what to do during their recovery at home. Itbralso asks about factors like hospital cleanliness and noise level.

Last year, Texas Health published “Quality and Safety Reportto the Community: A Transparent Report Card from Texas Health Resources,” making it the first health system in Texas and one of only a few in the countrybrthat publicly posted quality, safety and patient satisfaction data.
Texas Health Southlake is a fully accredited acute carebrfacility with a full complement of services, including a 24-hour emergencybrroom, surgery, post-operative care, therapy and imaging.
